COACHING FOR LEADERS

You've stepped up.
Now own the role.

Coaching for managers and directors in the first months of a bigger role, so you can own it without burning out.

SOUND FAMILIAR?

The promotion was the easy part

You’ve been promoted, made permanent or handed a bigger team or a new area where you’re not the expert. It’s exciting and you want to prove you belong. But you’re stretched, you’re not sure what to prioritise and you need to be heard in rooms where you used to just deliver.

Own the role

You want to show you belong at this level, not just that you can do the work.

Be heard

You need to speak your mind with senior colleagues, without softening the message or putting people’s backs up.

Lead beyond your expertise

You’ve been given an area where you’re not the expert, and you still have to lead it.

Get your capacity back

You took on the new job and kept the old one. Priorities blur and the evenings disappear.

Grow without burning out

You want to build your team and keep the life you have outside work.

Most people in this position try to work it out on their own. Some manage. Most find it takes longer and costs more than necessary.

WHY WORK WITH ME

Coaching from someone who has built and run things

I've built and run a business

When advice would help, I offer it, constructively and without preaching. Mentoring is optional, with boundaries agreed at the start.

I know how organisations work

I’ve spent years helping organisations get teams, priorities and ways of working pulling in the same direction. I take time to understand yours, so what we work on fits your real situation.

We work from your values

Underneath, we connect the role to what matters to you, so it fits the life you want rather than taking it over.

“You gave me the bandwidth to explore areas that were important to me … in a constructive and non-preachy way.”

QUESTIONS

Before you book

It’s for managers and directors who have recently stepped up: promoted, made permanent, made interim, or given a bigger team or a new area. If you’re between roles or facing redundancy, I’m not the right coach, and I’m happy to suggest others who are.

Mostly coaching: you do the thinking, with questions and challenge from me. When my experience would help, I’ll offer it, if you want it.

Yes. What we discuss stays between us, in line with the ICF Code of Ethics. If your employer is paying, progress is shared through three-way meetings or by you.

Online as standard. In person is possible by arrangement, with travel time and costs charged separately.

Reschedule free with at least 24 hours’ notice. With less notice, the session counts as taken. In a genuine emergency, just talk to me.

Book a free 30-minute chat. We’ll talk about what’s going on in your new role and whether coaching with me is the right fit. No pressure either way.
