The ICE-AC is an agile coaching programme. Agile coaching is a related but distinct discipline, broader in scope and drawing on more than coaching alone.
Agile coaching is more than coaching
In her landmark book Coaching Agile Teams, Lyssa Adkins mapped out what effective agile coaches actually do.
Coaching is one stance among four. An effective agile coach also teaches, facilitates and mentors, and knows which of these the moment calls for.
All of this sits on top of a foundation of agile and lean practitioner knowledge.
